I was joined by separated faithful co-host Mark Feliz, to hear anonymous guest (Raymond) discuss his experience as an annulment defendant after being abandoned by his wife.  According to Catholic doctrine, the Church “never ceases to endeavor to bring about a reconciliation, and never despairs of doing so” (Pope Leo XIII, Arcanum).  Hear what is really happening in the territories where our anonymous guest resides.

His local tribunal never presented him with anything signed by his wife, so Raymond raised the question on appeal of whether a real petition even existed. It took the intervention of the Supreme Tribunal of the Signatura to instruct the lower tribunal to give him his own copy of their decision. The local tribunal decided his wife was incapable of marriage, due to her grave lack of discretion of judgment concerning the essential obligations of marriage (canon 1095, 2°). Raymond appealed to the Tribunal of the Roman Rota, as he believes the lower Tribunal is incorrect.

We are following the directive of canon 212 by making our needs and wishes known to the Pastors of the Church and to sharing our views with others among of Christ’s Faithful.

Some couples stay "married" because they can't afford or agree to a divorce settlement . They isolate themselves .Others die, without ever apologizing to the many family members they disappointed, by leaving and being granted an annulment. We still hope we Will we meet in heaven where there is no marriage. Will we at last be heard and understood?

Correction /clarification. Immature couples grow up together and stay married. Does the Church /Priest talk to those interfering in the couples relationship? Sounds more like Tribunal rules are not always helpful. Defending marriage is an intrusion of privacy. What choice is there when one is called to answer the filing for annulment? It is such a legalistic process,we are deserted like Christ. A spouse might need our assistance that i.

90% !! Who is making that judgement. Many make it growing up with their spouse. Our grandparents married young and stayed together until death. I do think it is best to take care of oneself before gettting married. Third parties no matter who they are are interference . If a spouse listens to and follows advice without discussing with their spouse what confidence do they have in themselves , their marriage , their faith? Church rules were not helpful. So if we know it why follow wrong rules? Christ's Church is made up of people who are not perfect. The Church Priest talk to those interfering in the couples relationship. Is this even been done at all? This should be done first before anything is filed. The more people involved, sounds like the less spouses are involved in their own life's decisions. The intruders, the priests (defender of the bond) ( mediator) , Secretaries, Tribunal lawyers and how many others? Today many college educated couples marry for Money .Does anyone know about love anymore? Talking about anulments is so detailed. The process must be simplified yet thorough and truthful. No one is perfect .Many of us may be lacking something. No one knows the future ,what problems we will incur or how we will respond to other crises. These are not marriage problems , these are life problems we are not equipt to solve so easily.eg long family illness that could disrupt a couples life . Violence ,crimes are good reasons to separate yet a spouse with these problems might still our assistance . The reasons for divorce are often lame . With some effort we can try to improve ourselves ,working to stay together. Thank you to all for educating us on this process . My advice is to forgive and accept forgivenes, work on common goals and don't bring up your spouses mistakes unless they want reminders, pray socialize , work well and pray for guidance and grace. Have fun, enjoy humor. "What do you all a dad in a freezer? A Popcicle. What did baby corn say to Momma Corn? Where is Popcorn? What do you call cheese not yours? Nachocheese. What is a bear without teeth? A Gummy bear. Why did the football team go to the bank? They wanted to get a quarter back? What is a fish wearing a tie? Sofishticated. I'd tell you a contruction joke but I'm still working on it. I'm reading a book on antigravity and I can't put it down. From the Detroit Lions What do you call a team that tries to break the bond of marriage by challenging your soul? A Tribunal Thank you for sharing you souls. They are strong , pure and full of truth.
