Second, Canon 75 of the 4th Archdiocesan Synod of 1920 stated:

Peccatum ratione sui reservatum. Coniugum, qui tribunalia civilia, causa a tribunali ecclesiastica non diiudicata, adeant ad divortium seu separationem a toro et mensa obtinendum, quamvis effectus civiles solos intendant.

Reserved sin by reason of itself. The couple, with their cause not having been judged by an ecclesiastical tribunal, who enter a civil tribunal, to obtain a divorce or separation from bed and board, however much intending only the civil effects.
