National Catholic register piece by canon/civil lawyer, Benedict Nguyen, said what Mary’s Advocates has been saying for years: “Pre-judging the validity of marriages is a dangerous mentality that can do serious harm to the pastoral care of marriages, causing spouses to doubt whether they have married validly. The worse casualties would be those marriages experiencing difficulties where such doubt could give rise to ABANDONING the marriage.
