“The testimony of the fidelity of one spouse, or of both, despite their separation, often bears fruit in the next generation. In honoring the truth of the sacrament of Matrimony, not only do we give glory to God, the source of all good, but we comfort and console the young people who have had to suffer through the disputes of their parents. Many children of separated couples who experienced that at least one of the parents remained faithful to the grace of the sacrament of Matrimony set out themselves on the path of Christian marriage or of a vocation to the consecrated life. Their suffering is then transformed into joy, for the children, certainly, but also for the parents.”
