If you do not want to pay for postage to Italy, mail your letter in its own separate envelope to the Papal Nuncio in Washington DC, and include a letter to the Nuncio requesting that your letter to the Rota be forwarded.

Msgr. Pio Vito Pinto
Dean, Roman Rota
Palazzo della Cancelleria 1
Rome, Vatican City State
00186

Date,

Dear Msgr. Pinto,

On X Month 20xx, the 1st instance tribunal has only advised me of the dispositive part of their sentence and my request to receive my own copy of the full definitive sentence was denied. (Attached).  [(Instructions) Include letter from 1st instance showing despositive part of sentence, request letter, and denial letter]

Because I cannot obtain my own copy of the definitive sentence, I am making this impediment known to the appellate judge at the Tribunal of the Roman Rota. In accord with Article 285 of Dignitas Connubii and Canon 1634 §2, will you please assist me in obtaining my copy of the definitive sentence and bind the judge from whom appeal is made by a precept to fulfill that judge’s duty as soon as possible.

Sincerely

Signed Name
